Despite Ups and Downs....We are Thankful!
God's timing is always best, even if WE don't like it......we know God has a plan for our family! Despite Justin losing his job in July and our family living apart (Justin working in Indy and living up there with his brother) and me and Aiden living in Scottsburg while I work 10 minutes away in Austin, Indiana, we know God has a plan! We pray it is for us to sell our house, so we will be able to live together as a family again. However, in the meantime, we will continue to give God all the praise for all our many blessings! Justin received a full-time National Guard job (a job he LOVES and is awesome at!) for the next year, and I also got a job doing something I love (working with kids!). God is good all the time, even when WE don't understand His plan. Thank you, God, for all our blessings! They are many!

7 months!
Well, it has been 7 months since I last posted. So sorry about that! Life has been busy to say the least.
Our amazing son was born March 10, 2011, 9 days late! I was induced on March 9 and ended up having to have a c-section at 6:24 AM on March 10. We were SO happy he finally made his appearance! My Mom and Dad were both there at the hospital throughout the entire process and I am so thankful they were able to be there. Justin and my Mom both stayed in the room with me while my Dad waited patiently in the waiting room. :)
A few days after Aiden was born, Justin flew to Kentucky and to Virginia for 2 job interviews. Amazingly he was offered 2 jobs: one at Amazon.com in Lexington, Kentucky and one at Scott's Miracle Gro in Carrollton, Kentucky. We were SO amazed and thankful for God's faithfulness! He provided a job for us when He knew Justin was leaving Active Duty Army in April. God is so good! Justin decided to go with Scott's Miracle Gro, so we were thrilled that we would be moving home to Indiana finally! His job would be in Kentucky, but only 30 minutes from Madison, Indiana where we would buy our very first home! Again, another huge blessing God bestowed on us - a house! We lived in Scottsburg with my parents for about a month while we worked on closing on the house in Madison. Everything just fell right into place. I had even found this house on the Internet while we were still living in Texas. After I took one step into it when I got to Indiana, I just knew this house was the one for us! We moved into the house in early June.
I am just enjoying staying home with our sweet baby boy Aiden. I can't believe he is now 7 months old! He has just mastered sitting up all by himself. We can even leave the room and he is fine....he doesn't fall over. :) He hasn't really cared for baby food much yet. We are trying to get him to eat it, but he isn't totally excited about it yet. However, he will eat baby food sweet potatoes, squash, and pears. He totally "blabbers" up a storm now, too. No real words yet, but lots of "Bababababa." And he doesn't meet a stranger. He smiles at EVERYONE. He is truly a people person. His smile and dimples just melt our hearts for sure. We are so thankful God blessed us with a wonderful son!
We have been LOVING the Fall season here in Indiana. Aiden has been to the pumpkin patch 3 times (once with his Mamaw and Papaw, once with his cousins on my side of the family, and once with his cousins on Justin's side of the family). He has been to the apple orchard with his Grandma and Pop-Pop as well. It is so fun seeing him experience new things. He loves "eating" the crisp leaves that are now on the ground outside. ;) We can't wait till Christmas to share that with him this year!
He has sure traveled a lot to only be 7 months old. Aiden has been to Texas (where he was born!), Michigan, Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and several other states when we drove from Texas to Indiana when we were moving. :) He has flown in an airplane twice already!
I hope everyone else is enjoying the wonderful Fall season. God has sure blessed us and we are so thankful!

SO Many Changes! SO Many Emotions!
Well, I see that I haven't posted on here since October, so I guess everyone can just get used to the fact, that I'm NOT the daily blogger. :) But that's ok, right? :)
Sooo many things are on my plate right now, so I thought I'd sit down and update everyone on them.
As of right now, I am 4 days past my due date for having our son, Aiden Michael Roman. Let me tell you, this has been VERY frustrating for me. Not the fact that I am late, but the fact that my body doesn't seem to know HOW to go into labor on its own. I really haven't dilated or anything, and I still have never felt a contraction at all. It really just has me down that my body isn't doing what it is supposed to be doing. I went to the doctor last week, and they put me on the schedule to be induced this coming Wednesday, that is IF the hospital on post has a bed available for me that day (they only have 7 labor beds there). This really scares me to death, because no one EVER has anything positive to say about being induced. Even the doctor told me, "It's like being thrown in a lake.....going into labor on your own is like walking out into the lake......being induced is like being thrown into the lake." Gee, thanks for the encouragement. I'm already the biggest scaredy cat you will ever meet in your life.
I know you are supposed to gain weight during pregnancy, but that is really getting me down, too. I have never weighed this much in my life, and after a while it just gets depressing. Especially since I have never been one to work out, I know that this weight will NOT just fall off after Aiden is born.
Another big change is that Justin leaves Active Duty Army as of May 12. That is his last official day in the Active Duty Army. He starts his leave time in April, though, and we move from Texas back to Indiana in early April.....without a job. That is some scary stuff. Justin does have 2 interviews coming up that are jobs in Lexington, Kentucky and Carrollton, Kentucky. We are praying so hard that he gets one of these jobs, but we really have no clue what the Lord has in store for us. We are just trying to have faith that our Father in Heaven will provide for us. Justin has already signed up for the Indiana National Guard, which will be some extra income. However, he will need another job as well for us to live on. No worries, he will NOT deploy with the Indiana National Guard for 2 years. That is on the contract, which I read through very carefully. :) So the plan right now is to live with my parents in Scottsburg, Indiana until Justin finds a job and we can find a place of our own....all with a newborn. Yeah, talk about stressful!
So I ask that each one of you pray for us. We know prayer is such a powerful thing, and we know that our God will guide our paths and provide for us. We just have to remember this, even when emotions get in the way sometimes.

Shutterfly is the BEST place for Christmas cards!
Shutterfly is offering 20% off all holiday cards. Check it out! http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery
That is only 1 of the reasons why I love Shutterfly. They always have great deals! Their quality is amazing, too. I used their cards last year for Christmas and loved them so much. I used the design Crimson Floral. It was very elegant and a 5 X 7 folded card. I was able to use one picture with it, which is all I was wanting to use in my card.
This year, I would love to use the design With Love Chartreuse. I love how you can use 5 pictures with this card. I also like that it is a 5 X 7 folded card. That is my favorite style of card. I like how I can include our initial "R" at the top left of the card, and I love that it has the year on it. I love the black and white pictures on the card as well. I am planning on getting pictures taken soon with my husband and dog, and this made me think about turning our pictures black and white for the Christmas card this year. I normally leave our picture in color. I might also include an ultrasound picture, too, of our sweet baby boy Aiden, who is due to make his appearance in this world in March. :)
I would encourage you to check out http://www.shutterfly.com. They have so many products to choose from, not just cards! Their quality of pictures is just amazing.
Also check out these other links. You won't be disappointed!

So Much to be Thankful For!
So I figured since I can't seem to get myself to write on this blog very often, that I would turn it into my daily journal of what I am thankful for. I truly have SO much to be thankful for. God blesses me with so much every day and in my life in general, and I need to NOT lose sight of that! He has given me wonderful parents that do SO much for me. They really do TOO much for me. Every time I move anywhere, my Dad comes and helps us. I have a Mom that is a walking miracle. She has almost died more times than I can count. Her heart is so bad and her diabetes takes a toll on her, and the doctors cannot explain how she is still here. God has blessed me with having my Mom in my life! I love her so much, and I am so thankful to God that He has kept her with us! I am blessed with parents who are still married to each other. I am blessed with wonderful in-laws as well who are still married to each other. I have 3 wonderful nieces who I adore, thanks to Justin's brother Joel and his wife Becky. I have been blessed to be able to travel so much, which is something I absolutely love to do! I have been to St. Lucia, Maui, France, Italy, and 9 cruises.....again I say, God has blessed me so much! I have an amazing husband who loves me so much, even though I can be a little quirky at times.....ok A LOT quirky. lol I have a husband who loves the Lord as much as I do and wants to serve Him. I am blessed!
Today I am thankful for the warm weather and the green grass. I am thankful for the colorful wild flowers growing along the Texas roads. I am thankful for getting to eat supper on our patio. I am thankful for my favorite show being on TV tonight....Biggest Loser. I am thankful for being able to spend most of the day with my husband. I am thankful for my wonderful dog who I love playing with outside. These are just a few of the things I have been blessed with today. Stay tuned tomorrow for what I am thankful for then. :) I am blessed!

Our Temporary Home
Ok, wow, I haven't blogged since December! So sorry folks! Things have been quite busy since then. Justin graduated from the Military Police Captain's Career Course at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri on April 8, 2010. Justin's Grandma and Grandpa drove in from Iowa to see him graduate. We loved having them there! They are in their 80's so it was special that they would do this for us. They came on Wednesday night and we took them to Ruby Tuesdays for dinner. I love Ruby Tuesdays! Their salad bar and Ruby mini's are amazing! Yum! On Thursday, Justin went to work and I finished up packing the SUV and then went with Grandma and Grandpa to Waffle House for brunch. Soon after was Justin's graduation and then the adventure began. Justin and I took off in our SUV for Ft. Hood, Texas. We were on the road by 5:30 PM and arrived at Fort Hood around 4:00 AM on Friday morning. Justin drove the entire way! I love him sooo much for that! I hate to drive. I get so sleepy even if I am just driving 1 hour! The realtor was supposed to show up at our house at 7:30 AM that morning to give us the key to our house (that we are renting in Harker Heights, Texas). So, we drove to our house and slept in our SUV for 2 hours waiting on her to get there. The lady showed up and we got the key with no problems. The owners of the house had left the water and electricity turned on for us which was great! The movers showed up at 8 AM and started unloading our stuff into our house. They finally left around 2 PM and we grabbed some Chick-Fil-A (which is just down the road from our sub-division, yay!) and then we crashed at home for a few hours. Then it was time to pick up Dad from the Austin, Texas airport (about an hour away). Let's just say I am getting too old to do all nighters! lol Ok, 30 years old is not THAT old, but I was definitely not functioning very well the next day.
I definitely do NOT like moving at ALL! It is probably one of the things in life that I dislike most. And although I love the house we are renting here in Texas, I definitely do NOT love Texas just yet. I definitely miss Indiana, Missouri, and Georgia, too. But I know God has a plan for us and wants us in Texas for some reason. And I heard a Carrie Underwood song on the radio the other day that really made me think......this is just our "temporary home." "It's not where I belong, Windows and rooms that I'm passing through, this was just a stop on my way to where I'm going, I'm not afraid because I know this was my temporary home."
I have no reason to stress over moving and places I have to live. I need to keep the "big picture" in my head.....this world is just a temporary stop to where we should ALL long to be......with our Father in Heaven someday. Just wish my head would listen to what my heart knows is true. ;) Easier said than done sometimes.
